At DECJUBA, sustainability is a fundamental part of our DNA. We acknowledge there is no quick fix to making a positive impact on the planet and we continue to work with our suppliers and develop initiatives throughout the business to maintain our focus on sustainability.
“Doing the right thing has never let us down, fashion with integrity feels good and looks good on everyone.”
TANIA AUSTIN, OWNER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
We are currently in the process of reviewing and setting clear goals to ensure that having a positive impact on our planet is the driving force behind the decisions we make along each step of our journey.
But it doesn’t stop there… we are committed to sustainability and traceability in our supply chain and are continuing to develop initiatives through our entire business. This means being transparent, being accountable and ensuring we make amazing at every touch point from our supply chain to our customers.
DECJUBA PARTNERSHIPS
We aim to ensure that along each step of the supply chain we are tracing our impact to be accountable for our actions.
We are proud to have long-standing partnerships with our suppliers, some of whom we’ve worked with for many years. These relationships are fundamental to the success of our journey. Prior to COVID-19, our leadership team visited our suppliers and their manufacturing sites on a regular basis, continually building, developing and improving our relationships.
“We are committed to working with our people, suppliers and the wider community to ensure ethical working conditions for people employed along our supply chain, strengthen relationships with all partners across our supply chain, protect the environment and promote animal welfare.”
TANIA AUSTIN, OWNER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Supplier on boarding and third party auditing means we are partnering with our suppliers, aiming to be ethical along every step of the supply chain with traceability and transparency at the forefront.
Continuous improvement programs ensure a focus on our code of conduct, which includes zero tolerance to modern slavery, child labour, forced labour and gender discrimination.

TEXTILE EXCHANGE
DECJUBA is a proud Member of the Textile Exchange. The Textile Exchange is a global not for profit that works closely with its members to drive industry transformation in preferred fibres, integrity and standard and responsible supply networks. They identify and share best practices regarding farming, materials, processing, traceability, and product end-of-life in order to reduce the textile industry’s impact on the world’s water, soil and air, and the human population.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
In 2020, we achieved our goal of 100% of our packaging being either reusable, recyclable or degradable.
• 100% of all packaging is reusable, recyclable or degradable
• All cardboard cartons are made from 100% recycled waste cardboard & paper
• Woven brand labels are manufactured from recycled PET bottles
• Swing tickets are manufactured from recycled papers
• Customers are offered digital receipts in store to eliminate in store printing
We are passionate about eliminating single use items, especially those that have a negative impact on the planet.
DECJUBA ETHICAL FABRICATIONS
COTTON
As a part of our sustainability journey, we are committed to addressing the negative impacts of mainstream cotton production, and will ensure we are making a positive impact on the planet at every touch point along our supply chain… from sourcing our materials to shipping our amazing products into stores.
DECJUBA are proud members of The Better Cotton Initiative, and in 2020, we achieved our goal of sourcing 100% of the cotton in our apparel through farmers that are a part of this initiative – including our amazing range of denim, knits, tees and more.
Cotton farmers that are a part of the Better Cotton Initiative care for the environment, respect the rights and wellbeing of workers, as well as benefit from the demand in equivalent volumes to those we ‘source’.
RECYCLED MATERIALS
At DECJUBA, we are committed to re-using and re-imagining materials to give them a new life, through the use of recycled materials in our best-selling puffer jackets and Repreve fibres in a selection of our range.
DECJUBA is proud to have been using REPREVE since 2019. Repreve is a fibre made out of 100% recycled plastic bottles, which we have transformed into styles like the Abbie Scoop Neck Tee.
Together with Unifi, the leading textile solutions company, Repreve have recycled over 25 billion plastic bottles to date!
This is an ongoing journey for us, and we aim to increase the number of products that use Repreve.
ANIMAL FRIENDLY PRODUCTS
DECJUBA is proud to now offer a PETA approved, vegan friendly leather range, which aims to give our customers more considered choices. Alongside this, we also are a fur free retailer, and have prohibited the use of Angora Rabbit hair in the production of all DECJUBA products.
For any product containing animal by-products our suppliers must adhere to DECJUBA‘s Banned Practices and Substances Policy and ensure that all animals are treated humanely. We believe that our product can still look and feel amazing without the negative impacts, and have set strong guidelines for any animal hides to be a by-product of other industries.
